Bogor-West Java Bawaslu: 1,985 Pilkada Vote Letters Exchanged With Serang

BOGOR - The Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Bogor Regency, West Java, revealed that 1,985 Pilkada ballots for Bogor Regency, West Java Province were exchanged with ballots for Serang Regency, Banten Province.

The Coordinator of the Human Resources, Organization and Bawaslu Training Division of Bogor Regency, Irvan Firmansyah, revealed that the exchange of ballots was discovered during the Pilkada logistics folding sorting process at the Bogor Regency KPU warehouse.

"Between Serang Regency and Bogor Regency, 1,985 were exchanged, but they have been separated, they are immediately anticipated to coordinate with the printing company," said Irvan in Cibinong, Antara, Sunday, November 24.

The process of replacing the exchanged ballots was carried out in conjunction with ballots in damaged condition as many as 424 pieces, bringing the total to 2,409 ballots.

On November 20, less ballots were completed, then they began to be distributed to each sub-district in stages from November 17-22.

The Bogor Regency Bawaslu ensures that currently all ballots have been distributed to KPU warehouses in 40 sub-districts throughout Bogor Regency.

"Now it is ready to be distributed to every polling station (TPS)," said Irvan.

The number of ballots for the Bogor Regent and Deputy Regent (Pilbup) was 4,029,743 pieces, with details of 3,926,080 ballots according to the number of final voters (DPT), 101,663 reserve ballots 2.5 percent per polling station, and 2,000 ballots to anticipate re-voting.

Irvan advised regional election organizers to be able to take good care of ballots and ballot boxes, considering that recently Bogor Regency has often rained.
