Ahok Bans Kopaja Zombies From Entering The Busway Line In Today's Memory, November 22, 2013

Previously, Kopaja buses had been working since the 1970s. Public transportation has become the mainstay of Jakartans traveling. Recently, there have been more alternatives to traveling to Jakarta residents. Kopaja slowly began to be abandoned.

Metromini and Kopaja buses have been the prima donnas of transportation for Jakarta residents since the 1970s. The public transportation is here to serve Jakarta residents with certain routes according to the bus number. There are no days without them on the streets of Jakarta.

Every day the passengers exploded. Sometimes passengers don't get a seat. They just stood holding on. At first there was no problem with Metromini and Kopaja. However, over time problems arise one by one to the surface.

Both types of transportation are like chasing deposits. The comfort and safety of passengers is number number. Metromini and Kopaja cannot be relied on to catch up with time. Bus drivers often stick. They also often cut routes and reckless things. Not to mention the business of buses that are used without rejuvenation at all, aka Kopaja

As a result, many people began to switch to safer transportation. This condition makes Metromini and Kopaja look like benalu in the public transportation system in Jakarta. The Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahok also tried to find a solution.

Metromini and Kopaja are trying to be integrated into one TransJakarta management. Bus rejuvenation will be carried out. The facilities in the bus will be repaired. They will also later be able to enter the TransJakarta route. While Kopaja buses that are not roadworthy will be brought under control.

"We will carry out this control while waiting for the end of the Djakarta Transportation Company (PPD) pool to be officially used as a repair shop and garage for public transportation. Later, at the time of control, if we find a Metromini or Kopaja that is not roadworthy and does not have road documents, we will immediately cage the bus..

"Metromini or Kopaja that we managed to catch, we will put in the pool as a place to store the results of the raid. We will not return the vehicle if the owner cannot show a roadworthy letter, Kir test and others. This is our trick. So, if the owner wants to withdraw the transportation again, he must repair or buy a new bus, or show a travel document and a Kir test letter. If the owner cannot meet these conditions, then the vehicle belongs to us," said Deputy Governor Ahok as quoted on the website. ANTARA, July 29, 2013.

Ahok also emphasized that under Kopaja, he could not help but be forced to enter one management with TransJakarta. If not, the zombie kopaja bus driver has no privileges. Ahok firmly forbade kopaja buses to enter the busway route on November 22, 2013.

Ahok considers the Kopaja bus to be no longer running. If the Kopaja is forced to enter the busway lane, it will actually disrupt the TransJakarta bus. The disturbance changed Kopaja often breaking down on the streets. Whoever the Kopaja driver is, who is caught entering will be punished.

"We want to enter Kopami Kopaja, that's good luck, if it's damaged in the middle, how do you get it out? But if he has changed it, the door is increased, you can go down to raise passengers at the buswaykita bus stop. In fact, your passengers go down to the bus stop, the ride is free, you know, you're lucky, right," Ahok said as quoted by the ANTARA website, November 22, 2013.
