Densus 88 Polri Arrest 8 NII Terrorist Suspects

JAKARTA - The National Police's Anti-terror Detachment 88 arrested 8 terrorism suspects in several parts of Indonesia. They are members of the Indonesian Islamic State (NII) group.

The terrorist suspects had the initials NAA, JN, ER, IS, SW, DYT, MA, and SY. They were arrested in Sumatra.

The suspect NAA is the Commander of Java (KJ) at the Great Regional War Command (KPWB) III Sumatra. Then, JN was involved as Commander of Kompas B Imam Bonjol NII from the MYT Faction.

"ER's involvement is the treasurer of the NII group MYT Kompas B Imam Bonjo," he said.

Furthermore, the suspect IS as the secretary of the NII of the West Sumatra Local War Command (Kompas). Meanwhile, SW had attended the NII (plimacy) troop education and training activities and the NII proclamation milad.a

"The involvement of suspects DYT and MA is participating in the idad for troop training activities in West Sumatra," he said.

Finally, namely SA. From the results of the investigation, the suspect played a role in planning the purchase of weapons as an effort to strengthen the NII Organization in order to prepare for Qital Jihad or physical war.

Apart from the efforts taken, Aswin said that the fact that terror groups were systemically trying to recruit and instill a wrong understanding in society. Therefore, the public is asked to be careful with the widespread propaganda efforts.
