NATO Promises Fast Realization Of Support For Ukraine

JAKARTA - NATO is working quickly to fulfill promises made to Ukraine at its annual summit.

"In NATO, we are working quickly to fulfill the commitments made at the summit in Washington and support for Ukraine is critical," NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte said.

In the summit's declaration, NATO members affirmed their commitment to Ukraine as a sovereign, democratic and independent country.

NATO promises long-term support to Kyiv.

Speaking after Joe Biden's administration gave Ukraine permission to strike targets in Russian territory with long-range missiles, Rutte pointed to the escalation measures Moscow and its allies have recently taken.

We see a dangerous expansion of the war, where North Korean troops are fighting alongside Russia against Ukraine. This is coupled with supplies of ammunition provided by North Korea, drones from Iran, and goods supplied by China, all of which are fuels for Russian war engines," the alliance's leaders continued.
