3 Papuan Police Members Caught Online Gambling Given Disciplinary Sanctions

JAKARTA - Papua Police Chief Inspector General Pol Patrige Renwarin stated that the Papuan Police will continue to strive to eradicate online gambling by maximizing the members of the law enforcement agency.

"From the results of the supervision, it was found that three members of the National Police in the Papua Regional Police were involved in online gambling and they have now been subject to sanctions," Patrige said in Jayapura, Friday, November 15, which was confiscated by Antara.

According to Patrige, the sanctions given to the three police personnel are only disciplinary action. If later it is still repeating, it will be subject to sanctions in accordance with applicable regulations.

He said the three Papuan Police personnel admitted to being involved in the online gambling application because they were involved and curious.

"They stated that they would not be involved in online gambling and are still serving the disciplinary punishment they received," he said without mentioning the names of the three members involved in online gambling.

.He said the Papua Police Propam would continue to monitor so that members of the Police would not be involved in online gambling because of the impacts they had.

The Papuan Police Chief also asked the police chiefs in the province to monitor their members not to be involved in online gambling.

"Police members in the jurisdiction of the Papua Police are asked not to be involved in online gambling because the impact is detrimental not only to themselves, but also to their families," said Patrige Renwarin.
