Proposal For Additional Funds For Former President, Minister Of State Secretary Akui Is Being Considered By Prabowo
JAKARTA - Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi said President Prabowo Subianto had been thinking about increasing operational funds or budgets for former President and Vice President.
"He (President Prabowo) told us that please talk about it and think about it, because according to him it is not feasible," said the Minister of State Secretary in a working meeting with Commission XIII DPR RI at the parliament complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, November 13, which was confiscated by Antara.
Previously, at the meeting, Deputy Chairman of Commission XIII DPR RI Rinto Subekti conveyed the need to increase the operational budget for the former President and Vice President.
He said that the statement was conveyed taking into account the function of the Ministry of State Secretariat (Kemensetneg), namely providing support for facilities and infrastructure for the former President and Vice President.
"I see from the 1st President to the 7th President, he is a person who has contributed to this country. I hope that there will be additional operational budgets for former Presidents who have contributed greatly to this nation and state," said Rinto.

Meanwhile, based on data from the Ministry of State Secretariat until November 11, 2024, the Minister of State Secretary explained that the realization of the Ministry of State Secretariat's budget reached 67.19 percent or Rp3.12 trillion, while the realization of the Cabinet Secretariat budget was 73.38 percent or Rp379.44 billion.
In the 2024 fiscal year, the Ministry of State Secretariat's budget is still separate from the District Secretariat.
The allocation ceiling for the Ministry of State Affairs in the 2025 budget year reached IDR 2.9 trillion.
