1.105 Ile Boleng Residents Are Homeless, 8 Infants And 16 Elderly Died
JAKARTA - The Command Post Team (Posko) of Nelelamadike Village, Ile Boleng Subdistrict, East Flores Regency, reported as many as 1.105 people in the local sub-district were homeless due to the landslide disaster, Sunday, April 4.
Head of Nelelamadike Post Team, Servulus Satel Demoor said the residents came from three villages in Ile Boleng Subdistrict, among them Nelelamadike as many as 645 people, Nobo as many as 363 people, and Neleblolong as many as seven people.
Nelelamadike village or known among the residents as Lamanele Village was the worst location hit by landslides.
"A total of 55 people out of a total of 645 people died, one is still in the search. 34 people were injured. Everything is in Nelelamadike Village", he said in East Flores, reported by Antara, Friday, April 9.

The death toll from the group of infants and toddlers as many as eight people, a group of seven children, a group of six teenagers, adults as many as 19 people, and elderly 16 people.
Landslides accompanied by rocks from the slopes of Mount Ile Boleng also damaged a total of 50 out of a total of 318 houses in Nelelamadike Village, ten of them were severely damaged, nine units were lightly damaged and 31 units were buried by landslides and rocks.
At the same location, as many as two bridges and two public roads were reportedly damaged.
Damaged homes were also reported in Nobo Village. 14 units were severely damaged and another 23 were lightly damaged. "In Neleblolong Village, there are two houses that are buried", he said.
Thousands of residents who are now homeless are displaced in ten temporary shelters scattered in Ile Boleng Subdistrict.
"The evacuation site is at Nelelamadike State Elementary School, Nelelamawangi Village Hall 1 and 2, the homes of Nelelamadike residents, Neleblolong Village, Duablolong Village, Lewopao Village, Lewat Village, Watomae Village, and Harubala Village", he said.
Until now, one missing person in Nelelamadike Village is still in the process of being searched by a joint team from the National Army and the National Police (TNI-Polri), and National Search and Relief Agency (Basarnas).
