Bima Arya: President Asks For Reduced Ceremonial Events, Don't Waste The Budget

JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Home Affairs (Wamendagri) Bima Arya Sugiarto said President Prabowo Subianto ordered the ranks of the central and regional governments to make efficiency or savings in carrying out every activity.

Bima Arya said that the president continues to emphasize the importance of realizing work programs effectively and efficiently, so that through these efforts, the potential assets owned by the government can be saved more.

"The president ordered all levels of the central government and local governments to make savings, to make efficiency so that no fees were wasted," said Bima Arya as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, November 7.

In his briefing, the Head of State invited all parties to focus on the interests of the people.

All budgets sourced from the state must be aimed at the welfare of the people.

Therefore, all ranks including the TNI/Polri and related parties are encouraged to be solid and united in overseeing all programs so that they reach the community.

Bima explained that Prabowo wanted to embrace all parties to save state money and this step would be carried out in persuasive ways.

However, if there are parties who do not implement it in accordance with applicable legal provisions, strict action will be taken.

"In general, the President said that there are reports that should be able to save the efficiency of state money. That is the main point and asks us all to save," he said.

In addition, Bima said, President Prabowo also requested that ceremonial events be reduced in intensity.

On the other hand, substantial activities such as stunting handling or tengkes must be optimized more.

"In general, that's all. So the President said that we are all financed by people's money, lest the people's money is not right on target," said Bima.
