Regular Consumption Of Omega 3 And 6 Helps Prevent Cancer, This Is The Study
JAKARTA - Various foods containing omega-3 and omega-6 are apparently good for health. If it is regularly consumed, the study shows its benefits in preventing cancer.
In a recent study led by Yuchen Zhang of the University of Georgia, omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids have been researched for their potential protection against various types of cancer.
The study was carried out on 250 thousand people in the UK and they were followed for about 10 years, with 30 thousand of them reported being diagnosed with several types of cancer.
The results showed that the higher rate of omega-3 was related to decreasing levels of colorectal, stomach, and lung cancer, as well as other digestive tracts.
Participants with higher levels of omega-6 present a lower risk of developing 14 different types of cancer, including brain cancer, skin, bladder, and others.
Yuchen Zhang, a doctoral student at the University of Georgia and lead of the study, said in a university release that the results of this study prove why people should increase the intake of this healthy fatty acid on their diet.
Omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids are known for their good impact on body function.
Further research shows that although a person's overall health profile, including weight, alcohol consumption, or physical activity, this healthy fatty acid still has a cancer-protection effect.

Omega-3 and omega-6 fat acids help manage inflammation in the body and regulate cell growth. This can help boost immunity and protect the body from cancer.
Fat fish, nuts, seeds, and some vegetable oils are rich in healthy fat. It is important to add salmon, walnuts, and hemp seeds to a daily diet to improve heart and brain health, as well as protect yourself from cancer. (Ant)
