Doctor Says Body Fitness Is The Key To Facing Menopause
JAKARTA - Obstetric Specialist (driver) and Gynecology (women's body function) at the Limijati Mother and Child Hospital (RSIA), Bandung Prof. Dr. Tono Djuwantono said that fitness is the key for women to face the menstrual cycle or menopause.
"The preparation of the menopause must indeed be fit. 75 percent of women when they are pre-menopaused there are symptoms, especially those who are housewives, if their activities are lacking, aging will definitely still occur, but it can be postponed with management. So it must be prepared, fitness towards the age of menopause is the key," said Tono in a discussion with the Head of BKKBN, dr. Hasto Wardoyo, quoted from ANTARA.
He stated, based on the survey results, women in Indonesia on average experienced menopause at the age of 48-53 years, but there was uniqueness in Indonesian women who began to experience unbalanced hormones around the age of 43-44 years when they experienced pre-menopause.
"Women in Indonesia are on average pre-menopause at the age of 52 years. Mothers before 52 years, for example 38 years of menopause are careful, their names are early menopause," he said.
According to him, at the age of 40, there are two frequent incidents, namely at the age of 43-44 years of bleeding disorders because the hormones are starting to become unbalanced and at the age of 44 years and over, women usually start experiencing symptoms of vasomotor or hot turmoil.
"From the chest, it's like a fire bursts out or hot fights, the symptoms are hot in the body, emotional disorders or mood swing, this is a problem and it must be known, because it is the result of hormonal imbalance," he said.

He also emphasized that the menopause cycle is a scientific and natural factor, so mothers don't need to be afraid and worried.
The mother's view of menopause is often scary, but I need to remind you that menopause is a process that is natural in a woman's body when holding eggs or ovaries are unable to produce estrogen hormones, because physiologically it will decrease. That's a scientific factor, don't be afraid and worried," he said.
He also emphasized the importance of communicating with her husband and family when the wife enters the menopause period, to increase the wife's self-confidence.
Husband communication is important. Women who are menopause remain beautiful and sexual intercourse should actually be better, as long as it is managed properly, and remember, menopause must still be planned by maintaining fitness and nutrition," he said.
