Pasar Rumput Flats Start To Be Hired Rp1.25 Million Per Month, Priority Residents Of Gusuran, ASN To TNI
JAKARTA - The government has started renting out the Grass Market Rusunawa located on Jalan Sultan Agung, Setiabudi, South Jakarta which was inaugurated through an open house by the Indonesian Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait, Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Teguh Setyabudi, and Deputy Chairman of the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) Ima Mahdiah and Rani Mauliani.
Maruarar Sirait explained that the Pasar Rumput Flats can be rented for the general public at costs ranging from Rp1.25 million per month. However, tenants are prioritized for residents affected by evictions for river normalization and disaster victims.
Then, Pasar Rumput Flats are also prioritized for state civil servants (ASN), teachers, TNI/Polri with low rank/class, as well as millennial generation people who do not have a home.
"We have agreed that the occupants will prioritize the surrounding community who work or place of business not far from here. Then low-income ASN, TNI. I saw that someone lived in Depok, but a member of the Jaya Regional Military Command," said Maruarar at the Pasar Rumput Flats, Friday, November 1.
"There are teachers whose houses are in Pasar Minggu, whose work is in Setiabudi. Then also members of the National Police have low-income, teachers, and millennials. Those are segmentations that are suitable to reduce congestion," he added.
In total, the Pasar Rumput Flats have 1,984 units with 418 units that have been inhabited by residents affected by the Manggarai fire. Hundreds of residents affected by the fire lived for free until October 2025.
"This Rusunawa has 1,984 units spread across three residential towers, equipped with facilities such as family rooms, two bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, balconys, and air conditioning (AC)," explained Teguh.
Acting Governor Teguh revealed that the government is trying to provide decent and affordable housing for Jakarta residents. With the provision of quality housing for residents, it is hoped that it can improve the welfare of residents.
"We in DKI Jakarta continue to be committed to providing access to habitable and affordable housing for the people of Jakarta. To facilitate the registration process to be more efficient and on target, prospective residents can access Perumda Pasar Jaya's website", he added.
There are two types of occupancy in Rusunawa Pasar Rumput, namely hook types covering an area of 38 m2 and standard types covering an area of 36 m2. These two types each have facilities such as homogeneous tile 60x60, toilets sitting and shower, exposed ceilings, engineering door access sories ex dorma, aluminium powder coating window frames, 1,300 watt electric power, water from the Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM), and roman bathroom ceramics.
Outside residential units, there are also supporting facilities including traditional markets, Early Childhood Education (PAUD) schools, residents' halls, minimarkets, food courts, ATM centers, libraries, and mosques.
