Allegedly Malaysian ID And SIM Found In Russia-Ukraine Battlefield, Verification Police

JAKARTA - The Malaysian Royal Police (PDRM) is verifying the authenticity of claims for Malaysian ID cards or SIMs found in Levadne, Zaporizhia, Ukraine.

Citing Bernama, Tuesday, October 2, Police Inspector General Tan Sri Razarudin Husain said the police were examining the claim by asking for detailed information from the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Meanwhile, in a statement today, the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it could not confirm the truth of the information regarding the identity of Malaysians on the Ruisa-Ukraine conflict battlefield.

The Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs then appealed to its citizens abroad to maintain safety and take preventive measures to ensure personal security.

A number of photos are said to have been found on the battlefield in Ukraine recently went viral on Malaysian social media.

In its narrative, a number of Malaysian identities were found by Russian soldiers who had just taken over the Levadne region, Zaporizhia from the Ukrainian military.
