YouTube Hide Upload Date And Number Of Views In Latest Trials
JAKARTA YouTube is testing the latest interface that is considered cleaner and neater. However, some users don't like YouTube's latest look which is considered a setback.
Found by Dexerto's account on platform X, citing from Android Police, YouTube's trial involved hiding the number of views and upload dates on Beranda. This means that when users open Beranda, they only see the title of the video and the name of the channel.
They will not see additional information such as when the video was uploaded and how many shows. For some people, this change may not be a problem because they don't really care about the number of views or the date of video uploads.
Google seems to want to intentionally delete information on the number of shows and upload dates to generalize videos available on its platform. The reason is, some users tend to watch popular and up-to-date videos.

Users are only looking for old videos when it comes to artists or shows they like. When they want to need a very important tutorial, they also tend to see old videos in search results.
Although this change is thought to highlight ordinary and old content, Google has never disclosed the motive behind its testing. If Google's algorithm doesn't push older videos on Home, then this latest look only focuses on cleaner UIs.
Seeing the many pros and cons regarding the trial of the number of impressions and the date of the uploads removed, it is not yet known whether YouTube will release its updates into a more stable version.
