Earning IDR 1.15 Trillion Profit, Antam Distributes IDR 402.27 Billion Dividends
JAKARTA - PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (Antam) has held an Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) for the 2020 Financial Year. The results of the meeting of the issuer codenamed ANTM decided to pay dividends of 35 percent of the company's 2020 net profit.
SVP Corporate Secretary Aneka Tambang Kunto Hendrapawoko said last year, this state-owned company posted a net profit of IDR 1.15 trillion. Meanwhile, the 2020 profit jumped 493 percent compared to the 2019 acquisition.
With the assumption that ANTM's dividend payout ratio is 35 percent of net profit, said Kunto, the amount of ANTM's dividend for the 2020 financial year is IDR 402.27 billion. The remaining 65 percent or IDR 747.08 billion of net income was recorded as retained earnings.
"In accordance with the dividend policy stated in Antam's 1997 IPO prospectus, Antam will distribute a dividend of at least 30 percent. In this GMS, it was agreed that Antam will distribute dividends to shareholders of 35 percent of the 2020 net profit", he told the press conference virtually, Wednesday, April 7.

Regarding dividends, Kunto said, Antam has a policy to distribute cash dividends to all shareholders at least once a year, while still paying attention to the company's financial position and soundness and without prejudice to the rights of the company's general meeting of shareholders.
In addition, he said, the GMS also agreed to reshuffle the board of directors by dismissing Aprilandi Hidayat Setia as Director of Commerce and Hertono as Director of Operations and Production.
"The GMS dismissed with respect and also expressed gratitude for the contribution of energy and thoughts given by Mr. Aprilandi Hidayat Setia as Director of Commerce, and both Mr. Hertono as Director of Operations and Production of the company as of the closing of the AGM today", he explained.
