The Attorney General's Office Has Arrested The Former Supreme Court Official For The Bribery Of Ronald Tannur's Free Verdict

The Attorney General's Office (AGO) is said to have arrested Zarof Ricar in connection with the alleged bribery case of Gregorius Ronald Tannur's acquittal in Bali.

Zarof Ricar is known to be the former Head of Balitbang Diklat Kumdil of the Supreme Court (MA).

The head of the Bali High Prosecutor's Office (Kajati), I Ketut Sumedana, who was confirmed regarding the arrest, stated that Zarof Ricar had indeed been questioned at the Bali High Prosecutor's Office.

However, regarding the status of the former MA official, Ketut was reluctant to explain. The reason is that this matter is the authority of the AGO.

"If there is an examination at the Bali Prosecutor's Office, I will not confirm the status of the person concerned," said Ketut, Friday, October 25.

So far, Ketut can only confirm that the investigation of Zarof Ricar is related to the alleged bribery case of Ronald Tannur's acquittal.

"Yes (related to Ronald Tannur's bribe)," said Ketut.

Previously, Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Ardiansyah stated that in the investigation into the alleged bribery case, investigators had named a new suspect.

"There is (the determination of one new suspect)," said Febrie.

However, Febrie was reluctant to mention the initials of the new suspect. Only conveyed about the determination of the suspect will be explained in the near future.

"The afternoon was announced," said Febrie.

Previously, the AGO had named four suspects in the bribery case for the acquittal of Ronald Tannur

Three of them were judges at the Surabaya District Court, namely Erintuah Damanik, Mangapul, and Heru Hanindyo. While the other one, Lisa Rahmat, who is Ronald Tannur's lawyer.

In this case, three judges who received bribes were charged with Article 5 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 6 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 12 letter c of the Corruption Eradication Law in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Procedure Code.

Meanwhile, Lisa Rahmat was charged with Article 5 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 6 paragraph 1 letter A of the Corruption Eradication Law in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
