Golkar Corrects Bahlil's Statement About 'Tukar Guling' Chairperson Of MPR With Ministerial Regulation

JAKARTA - The chairman of the Golkar Party DPP, Dave Laksono, straightened out the statement by the General Chairperson of the Golkar Party Bahlil Lahadalia regarding the exchange of the position of chairman of the MPR with eight ministerial seats in the Red and White Cabinet.

According to Dave, the acquisition of ministerial seats from the Golkar Party in the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government Cabinet was the result of Bahlil's lobbying skills with the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM).

"Mr. Bahlil, with his ability to lobby, managed to convince coalition partners and especially the President to place Golkar cadres with significant numbers," said Dave at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Central Jakarta, Thursday, October 24.

Previously, the chairman of the Golkar Party, Bahlil Lahadalia, revealed that there was a negotiation process and lobbying between his party and Gerindra regarding the seat of Chairman of the MPR RI and the seat of minister in the Prabowo-Gibran Cabinet.

Bahlil said, actually Golkar was originally projected to get five seats in Prabowo-Gibran's cabinet. However, because the seat of Chairman of the MPR RI was exchanged as a quota for the Gerindra Party, he said, the number of ministers who became rations for the Golkar party increased to eight seats.

"Alhamdulillah (the cabinet minister from Golkar) has become eight. So this is a good opportunity for us to serve the government," he said.

As is known, currently the MPR is led by Ahmad Muzani who is the Secretary General of the Gerindra Party.

"Our quota is 5 then the MPR was consulted to be given to our friendly party that won the presidential election. We can't fight the President, sir, if we fight the President, it will be difficult for us all," he continued.
