Indosat Launches IoT Solutions To Maintain Mangrove Ecosystem Sustainability
JAKARTA - Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH), through Indosat Business, strengthens environmental commitment by launching Internet of Things (IoT) solutions for the conservation of mangrove ecosystems in Indonesia.
This solution uses the IoT sensor to monitor various important environmental parameters, including water quality, dissolved oxygen levels, salinity, and temperature.
Later, data collected in real-time will allow continuous monitoring of ecosystem conditions, helping to identify problems early and enabling faster mitigation measures.
"The IoT solution that we present plays an important role in mangrove conservation, which is one of our top priorities in implementing ESG principles (Environmental, Social, and Governance)," said Muhammad Buldansyah, Director & Chief Business Officer of IOH.
In addition, this solution also improves pond management, helps managers maintain water quality and increase productivity, while reducing the impact of mangrove logging.
