Exploration Of RAN Working On The Nestapa Theater Album With A Different Approach

JAKARTA - The music group RAN officially released its sixth full album with the title Teater Nestapa. This album consists of 12 songs that can be heard on various digital music platforms on Wednesday, October 23.

The Nestapa Theater contains two singles, Crime #1 and Secret #1, which were released earlier last September. While the other ten songs are the latest works by Rayi, Asta, and Nino.

This album marks the end of the eight-year wait for RAN without a full album.

"Eight years, in our opinion, over time for a group is not scary about albums," Nino said in his statement, Tuesday, October 22.

The Nestapa Theater is worked on with a different approach, unlike the previous album known as the song nuanced love flowering.

This album presents stories that bring the other side of love, something that is in sight and often milled about, but do not want to be felt as part of life because it tends to be painful to experience.

We are sure that many people are also aware thatnestaapa is a part of life that must be present in their lives. And our spirit is so that everyone can accept this reality. Nestapa is here so that humans can value happiness more," said Asta.

RAN is trying to make the Nestapa Theater a complete package of a life side full of questions and struggles that humans face when dealing with the heart.

"What we want to lift is the humanist side, so love is not just 1+1 = 2," said Nino.

"There is something to teach humans to learn how to feel happy. Here maybe more like what we should do, decide or do afternestapa comes. But, what is our reaction? " he added.

RAN also involved several people in the cultivation of the Nestapa Theater, unlike their previous habits.

The Nestapa Theater was also created by conducting a workshop session that is more relaxed and not monotonous. RAN personnel decided to leave Jakarta and meet a new environment to be creative.

"We went to the villa in Bogor and Bali. The time was limited, because we always clashed with gigs and other personal activities, but we managed to have an intense workshop of about two to three days in each city," said Rayi.

"Maybe this is an exciting activity that makes us do a lot of exploration in terms of music and indirectly makes maturity in this album. Also meet, without realizing it, the same implied message, 'It's okay to disappear for a while from the city's noise to calm yourself down.' We did that to get rid of the feeling of boredom and monotonies and the Nestapa Theater was successfully resolved, "added Nino.

In addition to the various producers and the unusual cultivation process, RAN also invited Salma Salsabil to the song Hey! Wait a minute.

"His voice made the song complete and more colorful. The three of them could be brought, but he missed the puzzle that made this song so ok," said Rayi.

The Nestapa Theater also involved a visual orchestra, in accordance with the concept of the film being carried out. On October 8, 2024, a short film that served as an eight-minute trailer was released on Youtube.

This short film was directed by Senry Alvin, the story was written by Aco Tenriyagelli, and played by Reza Rahadian. Each song title from the Nestapa Theater is presented in each scene.
