Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi Calls Israel's Horror In Unhumane Gaza
JAKARTA - Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi said Israel's "terror against the entire population of northern Gaza is inhumane."
In a post on X Foreign Minister Safadi said, "This is a pure crime and a war crime that must not be tolerated by humans."
"This slaughter must be faced with firm international action to stop it immediately, including through the implementation of an arms embargo and effective sanctions," he said, quoted from WAFA Oct. 21.
"Israel left hundreds of thousands of Palestinians starving, bombing the entire environment until it was no longer there, burning refugee children in tents, and destroying hospitals. Israel brutally terrorized the entire population to drive them out of their homeland," he added.
Gaza health authorities confirmed on Sunday that the death toll from Palestine since the latest conflict in Gaza broke out on October 7, 2023, has reached 42,603 people. Meanwhile, about 99,759 other people were injured. The majority of victims were women and children.
"The Security Council and all members of the international community must not allow this barbaric crime to continue for another minute. The failure to stop this massacre is a disgrace to the entire international community," said Foreign Minister Safadi.
"The Israeli government continues to commit inhumane war crimes as the world ignores it. Legal immunity must end. Israeli occupation forces should not be allowed to burn Palestinian children alive, should not be allowed to kill again and destroy schools or hospitals," said Foreign Minister Safadi.
