Gaza Hospital Asks Israel To Stop Evacuation Orders Amid Military Raids

JAKARTA - The hospital in the northern Gaza Strip asked the international community to step in to stop ordering Israel's evacuation of the hospital facility amid the deadly onslaught in the region.

On Tuesday (8/10), Israeli soldiers ordered patients and medical staff at Kamal Adwan Hospital to vacate the facility within 24 hours.

Similar orders were also issued to Indonesian hospitals and Al-Awda hospitals in northern Gaza.

"We ask the international community to step in to stop this evacuation order," said director of KamalAdwan Hospital, Humsam Abu Safiya, in a video message reported by ANTARA from Anadolu, Thursday, October 10.

He warned the hospital evacuation would "mean death to eight children being treated at this facility."

"Our hospital can stop operating because of the continued evacuation threat and fuel shortages," he said.

Israeli troops continued their fifth day of military invasion in the northern Gaza Strip on Thursday, amid a stringent siege in the region, according to eyewitnesses.

Israel claims the attack aims to prevent the power ofHamas from rising back in northern Gaza.

Israel continues to carry out brutal attacks on the Gaza Strip following attacks by Palestinian Struggle group Hamas last year, although the UN Security Council has called for an immediate ceasefire.

More than 42,000 people, mostly women and children, have lost lives and more than 97,700 others have been injured, according to local health authorities.

Israeli attacks have displaced nearly the entire population of the Gaza Strip amid a long-running blockade that has led to food, clean water, and medicine crises.

Israel at the International Court is facing charges of genocide over its actions in Gaza.
