The MPR PKB Faction Supports Prabowo's Commitment To Raising Judge's Salary

JAKARTA - The chairman of the PKB MPR RI faction, Neng Eem Marhamah Zulfa Hiz, stated that his party supports the commitment of the elected President, Prabowo Subianto to raise the judge's salary.

Prabowo's commitment was conveyed in a public hearing (RDPU) between the judges and the DPR RI by telephone on Tuesday, October 8.

According to Neng Eem, increasing the judge's income can increase the independence and integrity of the justices at the court.

"According to Article 24 paragraph (1) of the 1945 Constitution, judicial power is an independent power to uphold law and justice. Therefore, the Indonesian MPR PKB faction agrees with Pak Prabowo's statement," Neng Eem told reporters, Thursday, October 10.

Neng Eem agreed, judges as representatives of God in the world must have sufficient income so that they cannot be suppressed by disputed parties.

"I agree with Pak Prabowo's statement that the judge's income must be sufficient, so that the judge cannot be bribed and the verdict cannot be purchased," said Neng Eem.

Neng Eem emphasized that the attitude of the PKB faction was also in line with the commitment of General Chair Muhaimin Iskandar to improve the welfare of judges.

Therefore, the MPR PKB faction asked Prabowo to immediately assign the Minister of Finance to recalculate the state financial budget after being sworn in as the 8th President of the Republic of Indonesia on October 20.

"So that the judge's salary can be realized immediately, or at the latest the increase in the judge's income will be received starting in early 2025," said Neng Eem.
