Newly Rumored To Be Erik Ten Hag's Substitute, Simone Inzaghi Police Examined

JAKARTA - Simone Inzaghi has just been linked as a strong candidate to replace Erik ten Hag as Manchester United Manager.

When his name was being predicted, Inzaghi even stumbled upon cases of alleged violence, intimidation, and other crimes.

The Inter Milan manager is currently being questioned by the police regarding the alleged relationship with the ultras group, We Are Milano.

Inzaghi reportedly received a police summons on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, on charges of violence, intimidation, and other criminal activities involving the ultras.

The case documents on the investigation also dragged the names of top officials and players.

According to ANSA, the famous names called by the police other than Inzaghi are Inter Vice President Javier Zanetti, former Milan defender Skriniar, and AC Milan captain Davide Calabria. Ultra AC Milan is also under investigation.

So far, the investigation has led to 19 arrests. Inter and AC Milan now have to prove that they have no ties to ultras, particularly in terms of ticket sales. If they fail to prove, they will be placed in administrative justice.

Meanwhile, court documents stated that there were allegations of giving tickets to people who were members of criminal organizations and then reselling them at very high prices.

Investigators claim there is a relationship between Inter and the We Are Milano ultra group. Members of the group are thought to have been allowed into the San Siro without tickets for years after a strong intimidation of the board.

There are also allegations that the ultras leaders, such as Marco Ferdico, were arrested, met Skriniar and had contact with Inzaghi.

The allegations include claims that Ferdico urged Inzaghi to speak with club or President Giuseppe Marotta to secure 200 tickets to last year's Champions League final.

Investigators suspect Inzaghi promised to discuss the matter with club officials.

Inter are accused of providing assistance to members of the Curva Nord fan group, but the report confirms that they were forced to do so.

The investigative judge, Milan Domenico Santoro, also confirmed that the situation has not changed to this day even though court documents mostly relate to 2019 and 2020.
