MPR Leader Asks For Indonesian People's Prayers Ahead Of Presidential Inauguration October 20

The Indonesian MPR leadership asked for prayers from all Indonesian people so that the inauguration of the President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia which will take place on Sunday, October 20 runs smoothly.

This was conveyed by the Chairman of the MPR RI Ahmad Muzani after holding the inaugural leadership meeting at the Parliament Complex, Wednesday, October 9.

During the meeting, the leadership of the MPR RI discussed the division of work from the chairman and deputy chairman of the MPR as well as coordination from each field. The meeting also approved the establishment of MPR equipment such as the Budgeting Agency, the Socialization Agency, the Honorary Board, and the State Study Agency.

The meeting also discussed preparations for the Presidential inauguration which is planned to be held on Sunday, October 20.

"From the presentation delivered, it is planned that the inauguration of the President and Vice President as a result of the 2024 general election will be held on October 20 on Sunday at 10 am at the DPR-MPR Building at the Nusantara Building," said Muzani.

Muzani said that the inauguration of President-elect Prabowo Subianto will be attended by a number of figures including the presidential and vice-presidential candidates in the 2024 presidential election contestation yesterday. In this case, Anies Baswedan, Muhaimin Iskandar, Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD.

"We will also invite former Presidents, former Vice Presidents, leaders of political parties who yesterday contested the general election," said Muzani.

"And the plan is also to attend a number of heads of state and heads of government from friendly countries," added the Secretary General of Gerindra.

Therefore, Muzani asked for blessings from all Indonesian people so that Prabowo Subianto's inauguration as the 8th President of the Republic of Indonesia runs smoothly.

"We ask for prayers, support, support from all the people and the Indonesian nation so that the inauguration procession on October 20 can run smoothly and everything is in line," said Muzani.

"Show that the Indonesian nation is a united nation, a harmonious nation, a nation that continues to uphold the dignity of democracy, even in an atmosphere of different feelings of the presidential election and in the end we are one for the nation and state," he concluded.
