Mayora, A Snack Producer Owned By The Conglomerate Jogi Hendra Atmadja, Earned Profits In Sales Of IDR 24 Trillion In 2020

JAKARTA - The processed food company, PT Mayora Indah Tbk recorded a positive performance in 2020. The company coded MYOR shares was able to record sales of up to IDR 24.47 trillion in that year.

Quoted from Mayora's financial report on the information disclosure page of Indonesia's Stock Exchange (IDX), Sunday, April 4, the net sales of IDR 24.47 trillion decreased slightly by 2.19 percent (year on year/YoY) compared to sales realization in 2019 which amounted to IDR 25.02 trillion.

Although net sales fell, the company owned by conglomerate Jogi Hendra Atmadja was able to record an increase in net profit attributable to the owner of the main company by 3.51 percent (YoY) to IDR 2.06 trillion in 2020. Meanwhile, the company owned by the 7th richest person in the previous year in Indonesia earned a net profit of IDR 1.99 trillion.

If detailed, Mayora's net sales are dominated by the local segment, amounting to IDR 14.38 trillion in 2020. At the same time, the company achieved sales from the export segment of IDR 10.11 trillion.

Meanwhile, Mayora's cost of goods sold was recorded at IDR 17.17 trillion in 2020, an increase of 0.40 percent (YoY) compared to the realization in the previous year of IDR 17.10 trillion. On the other hand, Mayora's operating expenses decreased by 5.90 percent (YoY) to IDR 4.46 trillion in 2020, from IDR 4.74 trillion previously in 2019.

Mayora successfully recorded a foreign exchange gain of IDR 116.98 billion in 2020. In the previous year, the company suffered a foreign exchange loss of IDR 206.36 billion.

Meanwhile, Mayora's total assets by the end of 2020 were recorded at IDR 19.77 trillion, an increase of 3.88 percent (YoY) compared to the company's total assets in 2019 of IDR 19.03 trillion. Mayora is a manufacturer of snacks such as Beng Beng, Choki Choki, ROMA Biscuits, Kopiko, and many other popular brands.

Conglomerate Jogi Hendra Atmadja is the 7th richest person in the country according to Forbes with a wealth of up to USD 4.3 billion or approximately IDR 61 trillion.
