Mataram Immigration Checks Chinese Foreigners Selling Illegal Import Mutiara In Senggigi

MATARAM - The Mataram Immigration Office, West Nusa Tenggara, examined a number of foreign nationals (WNA) from China related to the alleged sale of illegal imported pearls in Senggigi, West Lombok Regency.

"Currently, it is still under investigation by the Inteldakim team (intection and immigration action)," said Head of the Mataram Immigration Office Selfario Adhityawan Pikulun by telephone, Antara, Tuesday, October 8.

This examination is a follow-up to the active raid on the immigration authorities at the location of the sale of illegal imported pearls from China in a number of villas in the Senggigi area, last Monday.

In addition to securing a number of Chinese foreigners who are currently undergoing examination, immigration also confiscated a number of evidence related to the alleged sale of illegal imported pearls.

The head of the Mataram Immigration Office said that the action was part of the follow-up to community reports.

Regarding the alleged violation of immigration rules, Selfario said that his party had not yet received a conclusion, considering that the handling of this case is still under investigation.

"It has not yet reached the conclusion stage," he said.
