South Kalimantan Governor Sahbirin Noor Alias Uncle Birin Receives 5 Percent Fee From Corruptioned Projects

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) suspects that the Governor of South Kalimantan Sahbirin Noor alias Uncle Birin received a fee of up to 5 percent of the three projects in his area. Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Nurul Ghufron, said that the private parties who gave the money were Sugeng Wahyudi and Andi Susanto.

"That due to the election of YUD with AND as a job provider at the PUPR Office of South Kalimantan Province, there is a fee of 2.5 percent for PPK and five percent for SHB," said KPK Deputy Chair Nurul Ghufron at a press conference at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, October 8.

Ghufron detailed that the three projects they were working on were:

1. Construction of Football Fields in the Integrated Sports Area of South Kalimantan Province with selected provider PT WKM (Wismani Kharya Mandiri) with a work value of IDR 23 billion;

2. Integrated Samsat Development with selected provider PT HIU (Haryadi Indo Utama) with a work value of IDR 22 billion;

3. Development of Swimming Pools in the Integrated Sports Area of South Kalimantan Province with the selected provider CV BBB (Bunt Banua Bersama) with a work value of IDR 9 billion.

Meanwhile, Sugeng Wahyudi and Andi Susanto received projects with various fabrications. Ghufron said there was a leak of their own estimated price and company qualifications required at the auction; engineering the e-catalog selection process so that only the second company could make an offer; The planning consultant was affiliated with Sugeng Wahyudi; and the work was done before the contract.

As for this case, the KPK named Sahbirin Noor as the Governor of South Kalimantan as a suspect along with six other people. They are SOL as Head of PUPR for South Kalimantan Province, YUL as Head of Cipta Karya as well as PPK, AMD as the manager of Tahfidz Darussalam House, FEB as Acting Governor of South Kalimantan; YUD and YUD as private parties.

Currently, Sahbirin is still not in custody. Only six suspects are officially wearing orange vests, namely SOL, YUL, AMD, FEB, YUD, and AND.
