Gerindra Denies Jokowi's Rejection Of PDIP To Join Prabowo's Cabinet
JAKARTA - The daily chairman of the Gerindra DPP, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, denied the issue that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) refused to join the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government and received a ministerial seat in the cabinet.
Dasco emphasized that Jokowi respects Prabowo's prerogative as president-elect.
"I haven't heard Pak Jokowi ask for that, because until today Pak Jokowi has never discussed the cabinet," said Dasco, Tuesday, October 8.
"Because in principle Pak Jokowi gave the prerogative to Pak Prabowo as president-elect," he continued.
The deputy chairman of the DPR considers wild issues on social media as part of the political dynamics of the next government.
"So if there are issues on social media, I think it's just dynamics," said Dasco.

Dasco also did not want to comment much on the news of joining the PDIP to the Prabowo government. Moreover, representing the opinion of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) regarding whether the Coalition accepts the PDIP or not.
"I cannot on behalf of KIM and cannot on behalf of Gerindra. Because things like this must be discussed in coalition meetings or in Gerindra Party DPP meetings," he concluded.
