Today's Memory, October 7, 2015: Ahok's Affirmation Of RPTRA Can Prevent Child Violence

JAKARTA Memories of today, nine years ago, October 7, 2015, the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) emphasized that the Child Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA) is a space for citizen interaction. This interaction is what he considers to prevent child abuse.

Previously, the DKI Jakarta government was keen in building the RPTRA. The construction of the RPTRA is considered a solution to the availability of Green Open Space (RTH) in Jakarta. He believes RPTRA can make Jakarta's children's lives better.

Children's playspaces that can be accessed free and affordable are not much in Jakarta. Children's lives are often spent in the home or street environment. This condition makes children's lives not develop much and turn to negative activities.

The Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahok, is concerned and wants to make a breakthrough. He wants to increase the presence of RPTRA to hundreds of locations. An interesting playground. Ahok also tried to find his land. The development can be the answer to the RTH room.

Another important goal is that the lives of Jakarta children are better. Ahok assessed that many children who lack playing space have shifted to negative activities such as brawls. Ahok also said that the RPTRA could be a means of reducing negative activities.

The construction of the RPTRA is encouraged. Funds are never a problem. RPTRA development funds will not be taken from the APBD. Ahok actually took advantage of the presence of many companies in Jakarta and asked them to distribute the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program to build RPTRA.

Instead, the company that helps bring its name into the name of the park. The company is becoming easier to exist in DKI Jakarta, even though they also create fun playing spaces for the younger generation of Jakarta City.

"Next year we want to add 150 more locations. The 56 land locations are ready, it's no problem. For the next year 150 locations, I told them to buy land this year".

"But for next year it will still be budgeted, if there are companies that will contribute the budget, they will be changed in the Revised APBD. We already know the price of the unit. The RPTRA is below Rp700 million. Try if the government makes Rp3 to Rp5 billion," said Ahok, October 1, 2015.

Ahok's intention to accelerate the development of an unbearable RPTRA. He wants to immediately realize a better child's life. Ahok revealed that RPTRA can become a space for social interaction for residents and as a place for children to play on October 7, 2015.

One thing that is most important, according to him, RPTRA can be a means of preventing violence against children. This condition is because the presence of RPTRA can be used as a space for children to play. Anyone who does not go to RPTRA will be caught.

Ahok asked residents to immediately go to the child and find out his condition. If there is a potential for violence, it must be immediately reported so that it is dealt with.

"With the RPTRA, residents can interact with each other as well as increase their concern and take care of each other between residents in residential areas. If there are parks near the residential environment, but there are no children playing in the park, it means they need to be found out, what is wrong with the children".

"Is there violence at home or something. So, if there are children who are never seen playing in the park together with their friends, try visiting their house. Check first, whether the child is sick, or there is a problem or even experiencing violence," Ahok said as quoted by the Antara page, October 7, 2015.
