Google Updates Google Meet Display On Android Devices

JAKARTA Previously, the latest version of the Call Start page was only available to Google Meet users with the company's account last November. Now, this feature has been expanded to a personal Google account.

Reporting from 9to5google, the latest Call Start page will be visible in the Google Meet version 266 app for Android devices. This new page features a more modern interface that fits the Material You provisions, a design rule from Google.

When you first open Google Meet with the latest version, users will see the 'New' Mining Action Key (FAB). When tapped, users will go to the Call Start page with various improved features.

The contact seeker bar now appears in pill form at the top with the same description, namely 'Look for a contact or call'. If the feature in the previous version was placed parallel to the bottom, now the feature looks parallel to the side in a large button.

From left to right, users will see the Link Create button, Schedule, and New Group. The most clearly visible update is the bottom of the three buttons. Google is now changing the Connected section on Meet to Suggestion.

In the suggestion section, users can click on other Meet users that are visible on the screen, similar to a quick call. Users will see the user's profile image in round, the name description below, and the user's phone number.

In addition to improving the Call Start page, Google also added a Code field in the search bar. If the column is taped, users will be asked to enter a code to start the meeting. This method can be used if the user does not get a link.
