As Chair Of The MPR RI, Ahmad Muzani Invites Leaders And Members Of Simple Life To Obey The Constitution

JAKARTA - Ahmad Muzani has been officially inaugurated as Chair of the MPR RI for the 2024-2029 period after being appointed as the leader of the MPR RI from the Gerindra faction along with 8 Deputy Chairs of the MPR RI at the Nusantara Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta today, Thursday, October 3.

The eight deputy chairmen of the MPR RI are Bambang Wuryanto alias Bambang Pacul (PDIP), Kahar Muzakir (Golkar), Lestari Moerdijat (NasDem), Rusdi Kirana (PKB), Hidayat Nur Wahid (PKS), Edhie Baskoro Yudhoyono (Democrat), Eddy Soeparno (PAN). As well as from the DPD group, Abchandra Muhammad Akbar Supratman.

In his first speech as Chairman of the MPR RI, Muzani invited all leaders and members of the MPR RI to keep a simple life and stick to the constitution.

According to Muzani, the implementation of the tasks of the upcoming MPR RI leaders is not easy. It is necessary to cooperate between the leaders of the assembly, the leaders of the factions and members.

"We feel as chairman, I am not the best person among all of you. Therefore, if we as chairman have good words of action and decision, follow our decisions and actions. But if there are words of action and decisions that are wrong, correct and criticize us as chairman," said Muzani during his speech after being inaugurated as Chairman of the MPR.

Muzani then invited all members of the assembly and all elements of the nation to work together to maintain the people's trust by reflecting on important values.

"I want to invite everyone to fulfill the moral principle, namely that we always keep a simple life from being excessive and stick to the prevailing constitution," said the Secretary General of Gerindra.

The deputy chairman of the MPR for the 2019-2024 period said that simple does not mean ignoring progress or avoiding achievement.

"In fact, a simple life teaches us to appreciate what we have, strengthen relationships with each other and protect the environment around us by living a simple life. We focus more on things that are truly important like family, friendship and contribute to positive values that live in society," concluded Muzani.
