Moeldoko Appreciates The Synergy Of The TNI-Polri Handling Land Mafia In South Kalimantan

JAKARTA - Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko expressed his appreciation for the TNI-Polri synergy in handling the land mafia in South Kalimantan (Kalsel).

This was conveyed on the occasion of the handover of Awards to the Tanah Banjar South Kalimantan Land Problem Settlement Team at the Bina Graha Building, Jakarta, Wednesday, October 2.

"I thank and appreciate the officers in the field, I remind you that the handling of the land mafia is a central government program," said Moeldoko.

Moeldoko assessed that the synergy between these two institutions has shown a high commitment in protecting people's rights to land and providing a sense of security for the community.

This effort, he continued, shows that the state is present in eradicating land mafia practices that harm the community.

"The synergy of the TNI Police is a good handling model," continued Moeldoko.

The 2013-2015 TNI Commander emphasized the importance of protecting the rights of the people, especially those who are victims of injustice committed by the land mafia.

Many people are victims, it must be considered properly. KSP received thousands of complaints from the public who reported land conflicts. We need to pay close attention to the struggle for their rights," said Moeldoko.

On this occasion, Moeldoko also handed over awards to 24 people from the TNI and Polri units who have worked together in dealing with the land mafia in South Kalimantan. The recipients of this certificate of appreciation consisted of 10 members of the TNI and 14 members of the National Police.

For information, until May 2023, KSP has received a total of 1,385 cases / complaints of agrarian problems, with details of 716 complaints related to the Ministry of ATR / BPN, 359 complaints related to the Ministry of SOEs and 244 complaints related to the Ministry of Environment and Forestry.
