Starting Today, Fuel Prices In North Sumatra Increase By IDR 200 Per Liter
JAKARTA - PT Pertamina made adjustments to the price of fuel oil (BBM) in North Sumatra. The selling price of fuel in the area has increased by IDR 200 per liter starting April 1, 2021. The increase occurred due to changes in the fee for Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax (PBBKB) specifically for non-subsidized fuels.
Unit Manager for Communication, Relations, & Regional CSR for North Sumatra, Taufikurachman, confirmed the increase in fuel prices. He said the fuel price increase was in accordance with the Governor of North Sumatra Regulation Number 1 of 2021 concerning the Implementation Guidelines for PBBKB.
"In accordance with the Regulation of the Governor of North Sumatra Number 01 of 2021 concerning PBBKB, there is a change in the PBBKB rate specifically for non-subsidized fuel to 7.5 percent in the North Sumatra region", he said in a written statement received by VOI editorial team, Thursday, April 1.
Based on the data obtained, the increase in fuel prices in North Sumatra was made by Pertamina based on letter number 348/Q21030/2021-S3 dated March 31, 2021, regarding the Economic Selling Price of Pertamina's BBM for North Sumatra Province. gas station (SPBU) entrepreneurs are also asked to make technical adjustments to the display and machine settings at each gas station according to the price list.
Taufikurachman said that starting April 1, 2021, at 00.00 a.m. local time, the economic selling price of BBM to customers has changed. Here are the details:
1. Pertalite from IDR 7.650 to IDR 7.850
2. Pertamax from IDR 9.000 to IDR 9.200
3. Pertamax Turbo from IDR 9.850 to IDR 10.050
4. Pertamina Dex from IDR 10.200 to IDR 10.450
5. Dexlite from IDR 9.500 to IDR 9.700
6. Non-PSO Solar from IDR 9.400 to IDR 9.600.

Meanwhile, said Taufikurachman, the PBBKB rate for the Special Assigned Type of Fuel (JBKP) such as Premium and Certain Types of Fuel (JBT) such as Bio Solar, did not change.
Taufikurachman said that this price change had no effect on the Blue Sky Program (PLB) which was taking place in Medan City. Customers can still experience this program at gas station 14.2011.84 which is located on Jalan T. Amir Hamah and gas station 14.2011.45 which is on Jalan Karya.
"The public does not need to worry because Pertamina continues to guarantee a safe fuel supply to meet the people's needs. We also urge people to continue to use quality fuel according to the designation of vehicle technology", he said.
