The 2024 Hajj Satisfaction Index Satisfies The BPS Version, The DPR Special Committee Continues To Investigate
JAKARTA - Member of the DPR's Hajj Special Committee, Wisnu Wijaya responded to the results of the 2024 Hajj satisfaction index survey by BPS which was considered very satisfying. Wisnu said the DPR's Hajj Special Committee respects the survey results but will continue to investigate regarding alleged irregularities in the 2024 Hajj implementation.
"We appreciate in the context that those who pay attention to efforts to improve Hajj services in the future are not only the DPR, but also other government agencies such as BPS. In the future, it would be very good if the DPRwas could also be involved as respondents," said Wisnu in Jakarta, Monday, September 23.
Wisnu also emphasized that the DPR's Hajj budget special committee remains focused on investigating allegations of irregularities in the additional hajj quota by the Ministry of Religion, although BPS said that the 2024 hajj satisfaction was quite high.
"The special committee investigation is still ongoing, even almost arriving at the conclusion," said Wisnu.
On the other hand, the spokesman for the DPR's Hajj angket special committee from the PKS faction regretted the response of the Minister of Religion who did not heed the good faith of the DPR's Hajj budget committee to ask for clarification regarding the alleged deviation of the hajj quota.
"In principle, the special committee puts forward the principle of presumption of innocence, so that the opportunity given by the special committee should be used properly by the Minister of Religion to straighten out various allegations of irregularities related to the transfer of additional hajj quotas, if indeed the person concerned has this belief," he explained.

Regarding what the special committee will investigate from the Minister of Religion, Wisnu said that his party wanted to confirm who was responsible for the transfer of the quota.
"We want to confirm who took the initiative to divide the additional quota into 50:50. Whether it was on the Minister of Religion's personal initiative, with the knowledge of the Minister of Religion but the initiative was carried out by his subordinates, or carried out by the Minister of Religion's subordinates outside the knowledge of the Minister of Religion. These points are what we want to explore," said the member of Commission VIII of the DPR.
