Gold Mining Helicopter Brings 3 Missing People In Russia's Amur, 20 SAR Members Deployed

JAKARTA - The Robinson R66 helicopter disappeared in the Amur region, Russia. The transportation belonging to the gold mining company Hergu took three people when they lost contact.

The Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Affairs said reports of losses were found by his party after the helicopter was observed carrying out unregistered flights across the Zeisky MO area.

"Over the past 24 hours, one emergency situation has been recorded in the Zeisky intercity department area (MO): on September 16, 2024, the helicopter emergency flare Robinson R66 No. 07424 is on," said the ministry report, Tuesday, September 17, quoted from Tass.

The ministry said that apart from the Russian government, the Hergu Company had deployed a SAR team consisting of two groups along the land route to search. The two groups consisted of eight people and two equipment units.

"Today, a team flying to search for the Robinson helicopter that went missing in Zeisky District joined rescue teams from the Zeya Amur Civil Defense and Fire Safety Center. About 20 people and seven equipment, including vehicles of all terrain and Mi-8 helicopters, have been involved in the search", the Ministry of Emergency Situation reported.
