Knock! Director General Of Land Transportation To Cut ODOL Trucks In Aceh
BANCA ACEH - The Ministry of Transportation's Directorate General of Land Transportation continues to fight Over Dimension Over Loading (ODOL) trucks. The Ministry of Transportation asked its staff to further tighten the inspection of trucks that do not comply with the provisions.
"From now on, trucks that do not match their dimensions, whether through service bureaus or otherwise, please refrain from testing. Currently, we are no longer using KIR books because many are faked," said Director General of Land Transportation Budi Setiyadi in his statement, Sunday, March 28.
Director-General Budi explained, to support the ODOL 2023 zero truck plan.
"If the transfer of cargo will be borne by the entrepreneur, the car is not allowed to continue the journey before transferring the cargo. The fee for the transfer of cargo will be borne by the entrepreneur," said Director General Budi.

Another aspect of law enforcement pursued by the Directorate General of Land Transportation is the application of Article 277 of Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation. "For this, I ask for the cooperation of Indonesian Truck Entrepreneurs Association (Aptrindo) and Organization of Local Public Transportations (Organda) to raise awareness of the business owners to carry out vehicle normalization."
It is known that the Director-General of Land Transportation normalized the ODOL truck. A total of 15 units of trucks were partially cut according to the applicable dimensions.
"For the normalization of trucks towards ODOL-Free 2023, we have cut voluntarily from truck managers who submit to our carcassion of approximately 15 trucks and there are 2 trucks (dump trucks and box trucks) today that we present to be normalized," said the Head of the Land Transportation Management Office (BPTD) Region I Aceh Province, Mulyahadi.
