Kamila Batavia Introduces Missing Third Single And Doesn't Return From Hamburg
JAKARTA - Kamila Batavia, an Indonesian singer based in Hamburg, Germany, continued her musical journey by releasing a new single entitled Hilang dan Tak Kembali.
This song is the third release, after 'End and Passed' and 'Als Ich Einschlief', as well as the final song to welcome the extended play (EP) which is planned to be launched in early 2025.
Combining elements of chamber, retro and goth-pop, Kamila wants the song "Hilang and Tak Kembali" to hypnotized the listener with contemplative lyrics about how complex the dynamics of life are.
"This song has an ambiguous meaning because it can not only be interpreted as a broken heart song between two people who do not have the same frequency, but also a story about my private experience which has a passion for life and high aspirations but simultaneously a desire to disappear due to a pile of thoughts that cannot be accepted anymore," said Kamila Batavia in her statement, Friday, September 6.
Kamila started her new song with a chorus accompanied by a piano shower. Then followed by the first verse whose lyrics describe the rigid mortem situation as a metaphor for inability to survive.
Furthermore, the lyrics in the pre-chorus section that declared a burning spirit accompanied by an intense drum boom to bring the listener to a more energetic level, then seemed to be dismissed in the first chorus which sounded smooth and quiet.

"In the process of song creation, I was inspired a lot by my contemplation with the tragedy of my life and the dynamics of my relationship with the surrounding humans," said Kamila.
"As a musician who also loves literature, I try to be able to create a work that is deep and meaningful," he added.
