Ridwan Kamil Will Study The Problems Of Kampung Bayam, Promise To Give Comfortable Housing

JAKARTA - The Candidate for the Governor of Jakarta, Ridwan Kamil, will find a solution for the residents of Kampung Bayam to get comfortable housing after his house is evicted for the construction of the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS). The former Mayor of Bandung will specifically study the problem of Kampung Bayam by visiting the area.

"The point is I can't be specific about one problem, the goal is 5th principle of social justice. So social justice means that everything is facilitated, middle and lower countries are present, later it will be passed down to patterns. I also did the same thing when I was mayor," said Ridwan Kamil in Setu Babakan, Jakarta, Wednesday, September 4.

"The important thing is that the people of Jakarta have a safe house, shelter. The problem is to stay there or move a little or move, the important thing is that they have the right to live in this city comfortably, we are looking for a solution," continued the man who is familiarly called RK.

The former governor of West Java claimed that he was quick to learn so he could understand what had to be done to overcome the problems of Kampung Bayam.

"Because I am new, I will study Kampung Bayam, this is it, believe me, I will study quickly, later we will have a special session for the specifics of the issue," he said.

Not only Kampung Bayam, RK will also visit all areas that must be taken care of in Jakarta.

"I will go to all points, God willing, finally understand what to do," he concluded.

It is known that the Kampung Bayam conflict resurfaced after the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono planned to build a new flat (rusun) in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta. According to Heru, the construction of the flats for the residents of Kampung Bayam will start next year.

"The local government will build flats (rusun) around Tanjung Priok District. In 2025, we will build them," said Heru, Thursday, January 25.

Heru said the flats would have 150 to 200 units and more complete facilities. Therefore, he advised residents to find new places to live while waiting for the flats to be completed.

However, this plan received protests from the residents of Kampung Bayam. The reason is, they were promised to occupy the Kampung Susun Bayam (KSB) residence which is now standing. It's just that, until now it cannot be inhabited because they are not given a key.
