Next Week, Jakarta Will Decide To Reuse SIKM Or Not

JAKARTA - The government has again banned Eid homecoming this year. Based on this decision, the DKI Provincial Government is considering re-enacting the exit and entry permit (SIKM) for travelers.

Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria, said that his party would decide whether to include SIKM again as a travel requirement next week, to coincide with the micro-PPKM period which ends on April 5.

"Regarding SIKM, later we will formulate whether after the 5th day the micro-PPKM runs out, we will formulate whether SIKM is needed or not," said Riza at the City Hall of DKI, Central Jakarta, Monday, March 29.

In formulating the limitation policy during the month of Ramadan to Eid Al-Fitr this year, the DKI Provincial Government is coordinating with the government in buffer areas, such as Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi.

"We also coordinate with experts, epidemiologists, we coordinate with other regions, as well as the central government, including hearing input from residents and their criticisms. We make it a consideration for that input," said Riza.

Previously, SIKM was implemented during the Lebaran 2020 season, when DKI was implementing PSBB. Those who do not have an exit-entry permit (SIKM) will not be allowed to cross and will be asked to return to their place of origin.

SIKM can only be issued by the DKI Provincial Government via the corona.jakarta.go.id website. Before administering SIKM, every person or business actor must prepare a number of requirements.

The details are a cover letter from the head of the local RT, a health statement letter, a certificate of official travel or working outside the region, or a certificate of having a business for entrepreneurs.

Meanwhile, there are additional requirements for everyone outside Jabodetabek who will enter Jakarta. The additional requirement is to have a travel certificate from the sub-district or village in the area of origin and a stamped guarantee letter from the family or RT to be a destination in Jakarta.

If the application for requirements is declared complete, DPM and One-Stop Integrated Service can issue SIKM electronically in the form of a QR code.

Then, every person or business actor who makes fake letters, manipulates information and/or electronic documents, falsifies letters, or makes false information to administer SIKM will be subject to criminal sanctions in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations.
