Yoo Ah In Sentenced To 1 Year In Prison For Drug Cases, Immediately Arrested
JAKARTA - Yoo Ah In was sentenced to one year in prison for the alleged use of bribes as drugs. After the verdict was made, he was immediately detained in court.
On Tuesday, September 3, the 25th Criminal Division at the Central Seoul Court sentenced him to one year and a fine of 2 million won or equivalent to Rp. 23.2 million at the first trial. Yoo Ah In is considered to have violated the Narcotics Law, smoked and used marijuana and attempted to eliminate evidence.
Previously, the prosecutor demanded a sentence of four years in prison and a fine of 2 million won, but the court ruled one year in prison.
Yoo Ah In was charged in October 2023 after using Propofol 181 times. He claimed the use was a treatment carried out at the hospital from September 2020 to March 2022.

At the first trial, Yoo Ah In only admitted to consuming marijuana but he denied other accusations. In the middle of the examination process, he had tried to leave Korea.
In the middle of the process, he also received reports of sexual harassment by a man in his 30s in July. Yoo Ah In's side denied the report.
In early August, Yoo Ah In's father died of chronic illness. He died at the age of 67 and the actor was allowed to go to the funeral home.
