Venna Melinda Officially Sues Ferry Irawan's Divorce Again

JAKARTA - Venna Melinda's attorney, Emi Wiranto, said that his party had filed an online divorce suit against Ferry Irawan. This was done because the judge's divorce decision was declared dead because Ferry as the applicant did not make a divorce pledge before the panel of judges.

"Today we came on behalf of his attorney Venna Melinda to be the plaintiff for divorce. Yesterday, because six months had passed, it was canceled legally and died." said Emi Wiranto at the South Jakarta Religious Court, Tuesday, September 3.

Because it was declared dead, Venna Melinda finally took the initiative to sue for divorce from Ferry Irawan, who is still her husband.

"If it dies, what is the solution? Yes, we are suing for divorce," said another legal representative, Wijayono Hadi Sukrisno.

Wijayono emphasized that in this divorce suit, Venna only demanded that her divorce application be granted and wanted this matter to be resolved quickly.

"Anyway, everyone wants to separate properly," added Emi Wiranto.

Previously, the Public Relations of the South Jakarta Religious Court, Taslimah, explained that Ferry and Venna's divorce was declared dead because Ferry as the plaintiff for divorce did not state his pledge until the deadline on May 30 yesterday.

"The appeal registration was on August 18, 2023, then it was decided to appeal on October 3, 2023, and notification of the contents of the appeal decision to the applicant on October 6, 2023 and the respondent on October 27, 2023," said Taslimah, quoted by VOI from YouTube Starpro, Monday, August 26.

"The applicant's right or husband's right to pledge divorce that must be conveyed before the trial. It's the pledge's turn, the execution is for divorce, it's not used. Because it's not used and has been given 6 months, then the case dies. If it dies, it means it's back to normal, the status is still husband and wife," explained Taslimah.
