Supporting The Formation Of The Cyber Force For The TNI, BSSN: We Must Be Able To Be Adaptive

JAKARTA - Head of the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) Hinsa Siburian supports the formation of the fourth Cyber Force or dimension for the Indonesian National Army (TNI).

"In principle, BSSN is the same, we support government policies," said Hinsa after holding a working meeting with Commission I of the DPR RI at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Monday, September 2, which was confiscated by Antara.

He considered the discourse ideal because it was to answer the challenges that exist today. If you look at the international community, according to him, challenges in cyberspace have continued to develop so far.

He also did not mind if there was a discourse on the formation of a new dimension in the army, both of which were in charge of cyber affairs, but BSSN has so far not had any discussions with the DPR regarding this matter.

"The challenge continues to grow, we must be able to adapt to adapt to developments," said the retired TNI Lieutenant General.

Previously, August 16, Chairman of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Bambang Soesatyo alias Bamsoet assessed that it was time for Indonesia to immediately prepare for the formation of the IV dimension of the Indonesian National Army (TNI) by presenting the Cyber Force.

"His presence is to strengthen the three existing dimensions, namely the Army, Navy, and Air Force," said Bamsoet in the Introductory Speech of the 2024 MPR Annual Session at the MPR/DPR/DPD RI Building, Jakarta.

Bamsoet said this was important considering that Indonesia's geopolitical position was very vulnerable because it was directly facing the tridents of the British Commonwealth, namely Malaysia, Singapore, and Australia.
