This 11-Year-Old Talented Guitarist Makes Metallica Change Her Mind About Song Permits
JAKARTA - Maya Neelakantan became the first person to perform Metallica's Master of Puppets on the America's Got Talent show. This young guitarist did not waste the opportunity and looked stunning to the judges.
Previously, the heavy metal band never allowed their song to be performed by anyone at the event. So, how great was this young musician until Metallica changed her mind?
To be sure, Maya Neelakantan has high self-confidence for children her age. His statement in the promotional video successfully stole the attention.
"I was the first to get permission to perform Metallica in AGT. I want to make Metallica proud," he said confidently.
Not an ordinary cover, Maya included elements of traditional Indian music in her design. He turned his electric guitar into sound like a satirical.

The young Indian rocker received praise from the jury, including Simon Cowell. He did not hesitate to throw his tail at Maya.
"You are one of a few people who got talent from Tun. This will be something you do throughout your life, because you are very great in this (music) field," Simon said as quoted by NME.
With her talents and creativity, Maya Neekkantan has also become one of the AGT audience heroes this season. If he doesn't win, at least he has met Slayer and Testament personnel, who are also his inspiration in playing metal music.
