Poland Detects Objects Flying Into Its Territory When Russia Attacks Ukraine

JAKARTA - A flying object was detected in Polish airspace during a Russian attack on Ukraine.

Reuters told state news agency PAP that reported the search for the object was underway.

"During Monday's massive attack on Ukrainian territory, we may have seen an object fly into Poland," said Armed Forces Operations Commander General Maciej Klisz, quoted by Polsat News, Monday, August 26.

The object was confirmed by the radio location by at least three radar stations. I have complete control over the object, I am ready to shoot it down," he added.

Poland, a NATO ally, has long borders on Ukraine and has been a staunch supporter of Kyiv's struggle against the invasion of Russian troops.

Russia launched more than 100 missiles and about 100 strike drones into Ukraine in Monday morning hours, killing at least five people and attacking energy facilities across the country, officials said.
