1 Rohingya Resident Of UNHCR Cardholders Detected In Dharmasraya West Sumatra, Apparatus Monitors Together
JAKARTA - The West Sumatra (West Sumatra) Foreigner Monitoring Team (West Sumatra) has detected one Rohingya resident, Myanmar in Dharmasraya Regency.
This was revealed in a meeting with the Pora Team in Padang on Wednesday, August 21, which was attended by personnel from various government agencies or institutions.
"It's true, there is one Myanmar foreigner who was detected in Dharmasraya Regency. This was discovered after receiving public information," said Head of the Immigration Division of the West Sumatra Ministry of Law and Human Rights Regional Office Novianto Sulastono in Padang after the meeting, at the Betweenstat.
He said that every agency that is part of the West Sumatra Pora Team continues to monitor the development and activities of foreign nationals who are male.
According to him, the Rohingya resident is a cardholder from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), an international organization under the auspices of the United Nations (UNB).
"The person concerned has a UNHCR card as a person seeking protection from Indonesia, we have examined it," he said.

Meanwhile, Head of Immigration Office at the Class I Immigration Office of TPI Padang Tedi Hartadi Wibowo said his party had visited and examined the foreigner in Dharmasraya.
He confirmed that the foreigner had a UNHCR card, his party then coordinated with UNHCR who stated the truth of the card.
However, Irpan said that the foreigner was not a refugee who used a ship with a group from the sea to get to Dharmasraya. It's a land trip.
"Regarding the existence of foreigners, we continue to monitor together with relevant agencies, in order to avoid social conflicts in the community," he said.
In addition, continued the man who is familiarly called Kang Deden, supervision is also carried out to ensure that the foreigner concerned does not violate the law or disturb public security and order.
He explained that the UNHCR card owned by the foreigner can function as a residence permit for Rohingya foreigners.
