Iran Doesn't Rush To Reply To Israel's Actions, Revolutionary Guard Spokesman: Time To Side With Us

Iranian Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) spokesman Brigadier General Ali Mohammad Naeini said on Tuesday the retaliation for Israel's actions would be a long wait, ensuring Tehran would not remain silent.

The Middle East has been preparing for Iran's retaliation for the assassination of the Head of the Political Bureau of Hamas Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran on July 31. Israel did not confirm or deny they were behind the killings.

"Time to side with us and the waiting period for this response could be long," Brigadier General Naeini said, referring to the potential retaliation against Israel.

Brigadier General Naeini stressed that Israel would definitely accept a response to Haniyeh's assassination, saying the Zionist had not achieved a single goal in the assassination and made it backfired, as the resistance front became stronger.

"There is a serious determination to respond to various acts of violation of the Zionist regime," he said, quoted from Tasnim.

He noted that Iran would not use similar scenarios to respond to Israel, saying Iranian commanders had experience and skills to effectively punish the enemy without rushing.

"There is no aggression against Iran's unanswered targets, and the enemy must wait for the punches to be taken into account and accurate in due course," he said.

Haniyeh was in Tehran after attending the inauguration of the elected president Masoud Pezeshkian, when an attack took place on July 31 that killed him along with a bodyguard.

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has warned the Israeli regime of "hard response" to the killing of Haniyeh, calling it Iran's duty to avenge the blood of the Palestinian resistance leader.

The United States has asked its allies with ties to Iran to persuade Iran to ease tensions in the Middle East.

Brigadier General Naeini said Tehran supports every step leading to the end of the war in Gaza and helping its people.
