Shame And Depression, Reported Case Of Domestic Violence In South Jakarta Threatens Suicide If Legal Process Continues

JAKARTA Selsa Bella (25), the woman who reported her husband Adam Rivai (28) for a domestic violence (KDRT) was asked to withdraw her report to the police. Bella was asked to withdraw the report so that Adam, his husband did not commit suicide.

Bella admitted that her husband's family, in Pondok Pinang, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta, visited her. The intention was to ask Bella to withdraw the report so that Adam would not take suicide.

"He asked to withdraw his report, August 17," Bella said when confirmed, Tuesday, August 20.

Based on Adam's family story to Bella, the reported party, namely Adam, intends to end his life if the legal process continues. Because, it is suspected that Adam was stressed because he was dealing with the law, especially the case went viral on social media so that his office friends found out.

According to reports from parents (Adam), the perpetrator wanted to kill himself because this case was crowded, his office friends knew. He was fired from the office," he said.

Facing the request, Bella made the decision to reject her husband's family's request. Because according to Bella, the events she experienced were too severe.

"I think it's too bad. I will continue the legal process," Bella said.

Bella reported her husband to the South Jakarta Metro Police. The report was received with Number:/LP/B/2496/VII/2024/SPKT/POLRES METRO JAKSEL/POLDA METRO JAYA on Friday, August 16.

Bella said that the persecution not only happened to her, her 8-month-old son also received the same treatment.

"My son has a blue head," Bella said.
