Starring Lee Jung Jae, The Acolyte Series Doesn't Continue Season Two

JAKARTA - The latest series from the world of Star Wars, The Acolyte, is certainly not continuing into the second season. Lucasfilm as the owner of the story rights decided not to extend the series starring Lee Jung Jae.

In its first season, the series produced eight episodes released on the Disney+ platform. Citing Deadline, although the series earned 78% on Rotten Tomatoes but broadcasts reaped different reactions among fans.

The first episode released on June 4 received 4.8 million views on the first day of broadcast. As a result, this series became the premiere with the largest number on Disney+ so far this year.

Over time, the series gained a declining number of viewers, especially in the last episode which only gained 335 minutes. The final episode recorded the lowest number of viewers in the last episode.

The Acolyte is a spin-off series from the Star Wars world that tells the story of a galaxy with secrets and a dark side at the end of the High Republic. Padawans meet with the Master mafia to investigate the various deaths that have occurred around them.

The series stars Amanda Stenberg, Lee Jung Jae, Manny Jacinto, Jodie Turner Smith, Dafne Keen, Rebecca Henderson, Charlie total, Dean Charles Chapman, and Carrie Anne Moss.

However, apart from The Acolyte, Lucasfilm still has some of their newest project titles to be released on the platform. The Mandalorian, who still has fans, will continue with the latest season titled The Mandalorian & Grogu.

In addition, they are also preparing for the second season of the Ahsoka series which has been confirmed by Disney and Lucasfilm.
