Kim Jonghyeon Ex NU'EST Announces Military Mandatory, September 23
JAKARTA - Kim Jonghyeon, singer and former member of NU'EST announced his plans to leave for military service. He shared this news live when holding a live broadcast on Sunday, August 18 yesterday.
"I wanted to tell you I was leaving for military service in September. So I wanted to tell you I was coming back. I thought you wanted to know about military service, so I told you in person," said Kim Jonghyeon.
Then, his agency, EVERMORE Entertainment confirmed what Jonghyeon said. They said the idol would depart on September 23, 2024.
"The news is true that Jonghyeon will be on duty in September," the agency said on Monday, August 19.
Kim Jonghyeon will depart on September 23, 2024, they said.

Furthermore, the agency said there was no official event to take Kim Jonghyeon to the basic training ground. The welcoming ceremony will be held behind closed doors with the relevant members.

Kim Jonghyeon has been a member of NU'EST since 2012. He had participated in the second season of Produce 101 competition in 2017 and earned popularity with his group.
In 2022, he made his solo debut as a solo singer. At the same time, NU'EST was decided to disband and members left their agency.
