Vice President: Solid Foundation Constitution Forms Indonesia Gold 2045
JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin hopes that the constitution will become a solid foundation to realize Indonesia Gold 2045.
According to the Vice President, the government, society, and all stakeholders must continue to ground the constitution.
"I invite the leadership and members of the MPR to continue to strengthen the constitutional culture in state life and make the constitution a solid foundation for realizing Indonesia Gold 2045," said the Vice President in his remarks on the commemoration of Constitution Day and the 79th Anniversary of the MPR RI monitored online in Jakarta, Sunday, August 18, which was confiscated by Antara.
For this reason, he asked that we must be observant and understand very well what improvements must be made for the progress of the nation and state.
"We all understand that the law, including body trunks from the 1945 Constitution, must follow the times, society to global dynamics," he said.
Therefore, said the Vice President, changes in the constitution to the fourth amendment as a necessity in the shift of a more democratic state administration system.
"The government as an executive institution adheres to the state administration system. Respect state institutions, including independent judicial power as a form of checks and balances," said the Vice President.

The Vice President also requested that the constitutional vision need to be strengthened and also increase literacy in constitution for the younger generation.
"It is necessary to strengthen national values to the future of the nation, especially in the face of technological developments and digital transformation," said the Vice President.
Closing his remarks, he appreciated the role and historicality of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) so that until now Indonesia remains strong as one of the largest democracys in the world.
