Hanura Holds National Conference In Bali Determines Ketum, OSO Becomes A Single Candidate

Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Hanura Party, Akhmad Muqowam, said that his party will determine the general chairman in the national deliberation (Munas) which will be held from August 18-19 in Bali.

"In the National Conference, the agenda for discussing organizational regulations, there are more work programs, there are other things called recommendations and there are more (elections) leaders of the general chairman," said Muqowam when met in Denpasar, Bali, Sunday, August 18, which was confiscated by Antara.

According to Muqowam, this agenda is a routine activity that must be held in accordance with the party's articles of association and household budget (AD/RT).

The National Conference activity will be attended by the Hanura Party Regional Management Board (DPD) from all over Indonesia.

Muqowam said that during the National Conference, his party would accommodate anyone who wanted to run for chairman of the Hanura Party.

After the names of the candidates for general chairman are accommodated, his party will conduct an election for the general chairman through a mechanism regulated in the National Conference.

Until now, Muqowam confirmed that there is no other name besides the General Chairperson of the Hanura Party, Oesman Sapta Odang (OSO), who will again run as chairman.

"But so far what has recommended the proposal from the DPD and DPC is only Pak Oso," he said.

Muqowam ensured that this munas would run democratically and produce an absolute party decision.
